Thank you for visiting my site. I am an independent guitarist, able to adapt to many playing styles.

I've been fascinated by guitars since I was around 8 years old when I saw Waylon Jennings playing a Telecaster on The Dukes Of Hazard. My dad would play records from the 60's and 70's and I remember him playing Jimi Hendrix's 'Hey Joe'. I was puzzled how anyone could make a sound like that on a guitar.

My dad got me my first classical guitar. It had nylon strings on it and I just loved the sound when I strummed the strings with my thumb. I didn't know how to play it so I had guitar lessons with the wonderful Mr. McConnell. He was an amazing teacher. He taught me the basics and I loved it. I am now mainly self taught from listening to all the great guitar players, anyone and everyone. But I wanted an electric guitar. Helped by my dad again, the day I got my first electric guitar was one of the best days of my life and defined the rest of my life so far. It was a Satellite guitar, one humbucker pickup, volume and tone controls. Plus a 5 watt amp. I spent my days practicing, I loved it so much. This began my life long love of guitars and music. I've never looked back. I went on to create my own style, all my emotion and feeling going into every note.

As my confidence grew, I started out playing open mic nights and progressing over time. Over the years I have played and written music with several bands, as well as a solo artist, currently playing with The Herbaceous Borders.

My influences are mainly drawn from those long ago masters of slide/blues guitar such as Robert Johnson and Johnny Winter, through country and southern rock such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, right up to rock/metal such as Marilyn Manson, with a little classical and spanish thrown in. Basically, if a tune needs a guitar, whatever the style, I'll play it.

Please take a look at the rest of my site where you will be able to play some of my music, watch video, contact me or link to my other site.

Thank you for looking.
